Alocasia x portadora

This hybrid alocasia can grow to 7 foot high with bright green ruffled leaves and long graceful stems.

Site: A bright position it will take some direct sun but must not get dry.

Temp: Keep warm minimum of 16°C / 60°F above 70° in summer will promote faster growth. If the temperature drops in winter it will loose leaves but these will return in late spring.

Water: Keep well watered in summer and infrequently in winter. Humidity is the main requirement if you really want a happy Alocasia, mist as much as you can and if possible place the container on a tray of wet pebbles/gravel.

Feeding: A liquid feed every 3 weeks or so.

Tip: Don't worry if the plant looks a bit sad in winter, don't over water it will be fine in spring!
