Well known in floristry
as thin canes in a variety of styles this Dracaena is commonly thought
of due to its common name as a bamboo. It is a very easy plant to have
almost anywhere in the house from shady to bright rooms. The canes when
old lose the smooth light green surface and begin to develop an attractive
light brown paper like 'bark'.
Site: Bright
indirect light to Light shade.
Temp: Average
warmth.
Water: Do
not let the compost dry out, in the growing season keep moist and reduce
the watering in winter. Keep the humidity up with misting.
Feeding:
A weak feed (1/2 of recommended) every month or so. We have heard that
fish emulsion fertiliser is very good for dracaenas.
Tip: Place
in a pebble tray to increase humidity
.
