Very few people
have heard of let alone seen this plant. Its tidy bushy growth habit
along with the mass of purple/dark green leaves and dark burgundy stems
make this a houseplant that is set to become a popular favorite in homes
all over the country. It is easy to look after and will live happily
in a variety of positions.
Site: Bright
indirect light too light shade. Keep away from cold draughts.
Temp: Average
temperature do not let it get too cold over winter min 60°F.
Water: Water
well through the growing season keeping the compost moist and less over
the winter months. Mist to keep the humidity up
Feeding:
A hungry plant! If using a liquid feed then feed every week or so over
the growing season. A slow release ferliliser can be used but water
well after applying.
Tip: If
you need to repot then use a loam based compost and cut out the feeding
for a few weeks.
