An attractive indoor
climber with a distinctive leaf which changes from "arrow"
shaped to a five lobed form as it matures. They are commonly trained
to climb moss poles. Syngoniums do best in a bright location out of
direct sun and are fairly easy to care for.
Site: Bright
indirect light for variegated varieties, shade for all green.
Temp: Keep
warm over the winter min 60°F.
Water: Water
frequently throughout the summer not letting the compost dry. Reduce
watering in winter. Like the philodendrons keep in as humid an environment
as possible.
Feeding:
A liquid feed every month over the growing season.
Tip: The
juvenile leaves can be retained by cutting back any climbing stems.
