With the cold weather upon
us and central heating going full blast the atmosphere indoors tends to be dry.
Keep your houseplants away from radiators and an occasoinal misting will also
help. Because
light levels are low, light loving plants such as figs, should be moved to the
brightest spot you have indoors, but keep warm - although even then some leaf
drop is almost inevitable - don't worry you should get vigorous growth in the
spring p[articularly if you feed then with a specialist houseplant
fertiliser. Do
not feed and keep watering to a minimum over the winter months. |
