Care Information

  • Site

    Bright indirect light too light shade.

  • Temperature

    Average warmth.

  • Water

    Water well in the growing season. Be careful to let the compost dry out slightly between watering. Misting will stop any leaves developing brown tips.

  • Feeding

    A liquid feed every month or so.

  • Tip

    Only repot when the roots are constricted and then use a pot only slightly bigger.

If you are looking for an indoor palm Rhapis is a fantastic choice. It will happily live under low light conditions or bright filtered light. Glossy fan shaped leaves grow from very straight stems which are a feature in their own right.
