  • Temperature

    Normal household temperatures are fine.

  • Water

Glauca plants require moderate watering. They are best allowed to dry down to an inch or two below the surface, before being given a thorough watering and left to dry again.

  • Feeding

New plants do not need fedding for the first 6 months; but after that they should be fed every other month during their growing period, using a houseplant fertilizer.

  • Tip

Watch out for white mealy bugs on the underside of the leaf. If found the leaves can be treated with insecticidal soap or a solution of rubbing alcohol and water.

An attractive and easy to grow houseplant. They are fairly hardy and don't require a lot of water. They provide wonderful colour and foliage all year round. Also, a member of the Cordyline fruticosa group, which are used in Hawaii to make grass skirts.
