Our policy - Buying plants online
We care about our plants and our customers. We have built a reputation based upon customer satisfaction and quality. We profoundly believe that houseplants can enhance the interior environment and we want you to share in this and to come back to us. We will do everything possible to ensure that you are happy with the service we provide. If you are not happy with your purchase remember to keep all packaging materials and contact us by phone or email, we want you to be delighted with the quality of plants you have recieved and will arrange a pick up of your order and a full refund of the cost of the plants.
We understand that ordering plants over the web without actually seeing them might be considered a risk, but every plant you see on our site is always photographed from our stock and is very closely what you will receive. Obviously there may be some slight variation in height, shape and form from the images on the site but our policy is to underestimate not exaggerate. We value our reputation! One thing to note is that all heights quoted are of the plant and container not from the top of the plant to the compost.
If we are not totally happy with our stock we will not despatch without contacting you first. As a major supplier to to public and to florists around the country we take quality as our number one priority.
We do our utmost to pre-condition plants at our nursery so that you do not have the problems associated with "fresh from the grower" problems so often associated with plants purchased from DIY and supermarket outlets.
Delivery and Packaging
We have a developed a number of packaging techniques depending on the plant and the order. We use a number of couriers again depending on the destination and the nature of the order - we have also rejected some for quality reasons. We have despatched thousands of orders and have had very very few complaints of damage due to transit or packaging problems. On the contrary we have many testimonials to the quality of our packaging methods.
Please note, however, that we will not deliver if low ambient overnight temperatures are likely to damage your plants (if overnight temperatures are very low you may have to wait a few days in the winter before we are able to deliver your plant safely).
All transactions are secure. Shopping here is one of the safest and easiest ways to shop online.
How can I verify that the credit card page is secure? - This is easy, when you have entered your name and delivery details and decide to proceed to the secure payment page you will see the lock icon in the status bar of your browser. Just hover your mouse over it and it will show you that it's "SSL Secured 128bit"
We do not divulge any of your details to any third party. And after payment is taken your credit/debit card details are completely and securely removed from our records. All confidential records are held remotely, only for as long as they are needed, and then permanently destroyed. We take security very seriously.
All deliveries will have prior confirmation by phone. If this confirmation is not received we will not despatch.
Plants are packaged securely for the brief next day delivery journey and should be unwrapped ASAP (they are, after all, living and tender plants).
