Care Information

  • Site

    A bright sunny spot away from midday sunlight

  • Temperature

    A warm spot away from cold draughts

  • Water

    Water regularly during summer, allowing the compost to dry out completely especially during winter

  • Feeding

    Add liquid plant food to the water once a month or so during summer

  • Tip

    Trim back the leaves to maintain the attractive spherical shape.

With densely packed, rich foliage in a neat topiary style sphere, you have to get close to this plant to appreciate how varied and fascinating the leaves really are on this gorgeous and rare Ficus.

Native to Eastern Australia, this variegated version of the tropical Rusty Fig is top of the wish list of plant collecters all over the country, and we are exceptionally lucky to have them here at our nursery.
