One of our favourite plants, grown right here at our nursery. The leaves are almost black with striking pairs of symmetrical stripes running horizontally down the leaf. Needs warmth and hates dry air but find the spot and this is a show stopping plant.
Perfect for breaking up a group of plants in an ornamental arrangement, where its highly contrasting foliage creates a dark border to highlight the green undertones that stand out against the pink highlights of this wonderful prayer plant.

Temperature Likes it warm over winter 15-16°C 60°F if you can. Colder conditions will cause some leaf damage try to keep it on the dry side if this happens.
WateringQuite a bit, loves frequent watering over the growing season (Late spring-Early Autumn) cut back over the winter but never let it get really dry.
Feeding We find little and often works, feed every 2 weeks but at half dilution with a good liquid feed.
Tips Low humidity will cause the leaves to brown at the edges. Give it a spray in the morning to help.
Light Level Will take quite a dark spot. Good for warm kitchens and north facing windowsills (Double glazed!)
