A low maintence, compact houseplant with striking silvery-green veined leaves supported by fleshy red stems. Green spikes of tiny flowers appear in summer. Related to the peppercorn plant, with semi-succulent properties, meaning they are able to store water in their leaves to fall back on in times of need. This makes them mostly drought resistant.
Suitable for most rooms in the home and will even tolerate fluorescent lighting, making them ideal for basements or offices. They mostly originate from South America. Ultimate height 20-30cm plus flower spikes.
